Google matches donations (up to $6,000) per employee as well as disaster relief/international relief donations for the same amount. Google also matches funds employees personally raise for charitable events when they actively participate (i.e., walks, marathons, bike rides, etc.).

Soldier Ride is a four-day cycling experience where you’ll meet warriors like you, push your limits beyond what you think is possible, and leave with a deeper understanding of who you are and what you’re capable of. Open for all No bike necessary – we provide you access to them at no cost. Even if you’re injured, you can still be a part of the journey.

We offer state-of-the-art adaptive hand cycles, trikes, and bicycles for warriors with injuries and disabilities. What should I expect? Soldier Ride is typically a 4-day commitment. Here’s what your experience might look like:. Day 1: Arrive, get fitted for your bike and have lunch. In the evening, you’ll meet the other warriors on your ride and start setting goals for the next few days. Day 2: Go for a short program ride (10-15 miles) to test out your bike, get comfortable, and start getting to know your fellow warriors and Soldier Ride team members.

Day 3: Reach and exceed your goals on a 15-20+ mile ride. Day 4: Enjoy a closing breakfast before you leave. I’m ready to ride. How do I sign up? This is our trademark program for groups of 30 or more. We developed the apps that help make this event so fun and fast-paced. They also enable us to produce very large programs. In 2018, we delivered the largest bike build in history where 3,400 employees from Lowe’s built and donated 1,048 bicycles at an event in Las Vegas! BEST facilitators have been delivering charity bike build events for over 20 years. After going high-tech in 2012, we continue to pioneer the future of this CSR donation program with the use of our proprietary apps and Apple iPads®. This worthwhile program incorporates engaging audio/video clues as well as fun challenges and activities, enabling teams to earn the parts necessary to assemble bikes for children in need.

Photos and videos of your participants in action throughout the event will be captured on iPads provided to the teams. After a fun icebreaker to get everyone “in gear”, your teams will receive their iPads and instructions. As teams continually gain points through the iPad challenges, they will be rewarded with trips to our bike store to obtain the parts they need for the build. Once the bikes are built, they are inspected by for safety before being displayed with the participants for a group picture. Based on the timeframe and available space, the program may also include personal notes of encouragement, a bike parade, decorative bike license plates, or a bike race. At the conclusion of the program, whenever possible, your group will present these beautiful, finished bicycles to deserving children - accompanied by a local charity representative who will address your group and thank you for your donation. Bike Build Donation is one of our most popular give-back programs, and every bicycle your group builds comes with a cool helmet and a lock for safety.

Organization, delegation, communication, and some mechanical skills will be put to use to complete this fun and engaging activity. New Additions! I can't say enough about the Bike Build program! It was exactly the type of team building activity that we were looking for, and it was executed beautifully. Your lead facilitator and his team were great during the event - they were able to command the attention of our group and have them work very efficiently so that they were done right on schedule. The charitable aspect allowed people to break out of their comfort zone to participate in some of the funny things they were required to do to get points. Your facilitator was super! We also wanted to try and reduce the amount of time for the entire event as we were working within a tighter timeframe than originally thought.
