Dell Xps L501x Drivers For Mac
Jan 08, 2011 Hey I've got a Dell XPS L501X, but not same CPU and GPU then you. I managed to get Snow Leopard 10.6.5 with the iBoot + MultiBeast method, but I can run it only in 32bit mode.
L501x El Capitan installation I have Core I7 first gen 1.7ghz 6gb ram, 1080p display, Nvidia geforce 435m, intel cenrino wifi card. Steps i have followed.
Download El Capitan to applications on a mac. Download unibeast. Format a 8gb pen drive and 4. Unibeast, select legacy boot, nvidia. Wait for 30min to make the disk 6. Open disk and copy the dsdt.aml and ssdt.aml to clover folders.
Under scores are for path. Find in EFICLOVERACPIpatched 7. Copy kexts for usb and ps2 EFICLOVERkexts10.11 copy the files to the path given. Boot with the pen drive Now initial Apple log with progress bar shows up on laptop. Later screen become blank but laptop still running. So i have connected a monitor to cdmi. Display shifted to monitor and it shows installation prompt.
With the kexts its able to detect onboard trackpad and keyboard so installation finished and took 30min. After installation. Don’t install clover on board from EL Captain post installation tools. It corrupts and boot fails. I have installed 5 times to know that clover is the problem. Whats working.
Display Full HD display working on the monitor connected. If i go to system preferences-Displays-Command-Detect displays then only onboard display detected.
Ethernet only working. NO wifi and bluetooth. Few years back i got bluetooth working on this machine with Mountain Lion but this time its not working. Whats not working. Boot from hard disk.
If i install clover on the installation disk it fails to boot. So using pen drive to boot now. On board display not detected on its own.
I need to system preferences-Displays-Command-Detect displays overtime. Short cuts like Command-F2 or Command+function+F2 not working. Only few people said wifi worked on this laptop. I might need to do tether or buy a wifi compatible. Only one usb port working for this system. That is used for boot and others.
Tried “disable emulated in BIOS” but it disables usb option at boot. So need a viable solution.
Audio not working. Any help appreciated for resolving these. Display and wifi are my main concern.
Also i see the dsdt.aml is in trash after installation. Don’t know if it actually worked or not.
But the drivers worked. Thanks to the original distributer. Original zip file also attached for anybody’s reference. Hello, I have an XPS L501x with same hardware as skumaringuva. I am trying to install El Capitan.
I have created the bootable USB. I used Unibeast 6.1.1. When I try to boot into the installer from the Clover bootloader, I encounter a black screen immediately (I do not encounter an apple logo as you have described). I have tried connecting my laptop to a TV monitor via an HDMI cord, but I the connection did not work. I have no prior experience with hackintosh technology. What should I do to solve this problem?

Krunal Mahendra Patel, The notebook system utility and the chipset drivers need installed first or the rest of the drivers will fail to install. You should be able to start with the Notebook system utility and the chipset drivers, then install the rest of the drivers in order. Did you make the? If you have the Dell DataSafe disks, if you insert disk 1 and restart your computer, press any key to boot from CD/DVD, then follow the instructions. Rick If you find this helpful, please mark it.
